Q: You made the rings on Critical Role and High Rollers??
Indeed! We sent our rings to Matt Mercer (Critical Role) and Mark Hulmes (High Rollers) years ago. On CR they first appear on Campaign 2 Episode 50 and on HR as of episode #63 Aerois. These injection molded rings are the successors of those 3d-printed rings. Injection-molded means the quality is much higher, while also giving us the ability to make these in higher volume.
Q: What's a safe way to clean these?
Stick with warm water and gentle soap. Avoid anything too abrasive on the top text as it might scratch the white ink. They can be easily repainted with any acrylic (for plastic) model/craft paint if ever damaged.
Q: I thought these were 3D printed?
They were. For 2+ years we 3D printed them out of PLA. But thanks to all the sales and support we received, we were able to invest in high-quality steel molds, and as of April 2021 we now injection mold them (which makes them higher resolution and more durable)
Q: Will the new storage box fit the old rings?
Yes, they will. This was something we prioritized during the design process.
Q: Is a 3D-printable storage option (still) available?
Yes! Please search on our website for '3D Printable Storage Box' and you'll find a page with the models, provided for free (CC License, Non-Commerical use only).
Q: Who designed these?
Original designs were by Luke Crevier (BC Canada), this modified version was a collab between Luke and Mike Saltzman (Viridian Gaming Supplies, Syracuse NY), Vince Lanning (Hi-Tech Mold & Tool, Pittsfield MA) and Brian Brazeau (Hi-Tech Mold & Tool).
Luke was the one to send his 3D printed rings to Matt Mercer (of Critical Role) and helped set off a wave of condition ring products . Luke was involved throughout, is super awesome, and still receives a portion of every set sold.
Q: Where Are These Made?
These are manufactured in Pittsfield, MA by Hi-Tech Mold & Tool and distributed by Viridian Gaming Supplies out of East Syracuse, NY.
